We are delighted that AIG has supported our thought leadership events over more than four years.

Since we began these events in 2015 we have covered areas ranging from Rebuilding Trust in Financial Services, Enterpreneurship, Fintech, Cyber Risk, Blockchain, Risk Management, Pension Fund Investments, Stock Market Volatility and Artifical Intelligence and its challenges.

Martin Wolf and Adair Turner have been regular speakers presenting on a variety of macro-economic topics including Brexit (Wolf) and Regulation (Turner) and twice appearing together for highly stimulating debates following the publication of their respective books, including the 2016 event The Devil, Debt and Democracy - summarised here.

Towards the end of 2017 we hosted an extremely successful debate on diversity - Gender and Beyond, chaired by our Associate Director, Patricia Hamzahee - her report of the evening is here. This was followed by our 2018 report on gender and progression in financial services for the Chartered Banker Institute.

We were very pleased to have welcomed Andy Haldane, Chief Economist at the Bank of England, to deliver our Annual Lecture on 25th July 2017. Andy looked at global flows of goods and services, money and capital and people and ideas over the post war period and the evidence on how these had affected growth and the distribution of income and wealth between and within the developed and developing world. This event was kindly hosted by the Financial Times who have partnered with us since we were established.

Our latest event - Artficial Intelligence, harnessing the benefits of the next disruptive technology - was held in January 2019 and included regular panelist, Tim Jones CBE, Executive Director of Tata Limited, Reza Khorshide, AIG Chief Scientist and Sarah O'Connor, The Financial Times' award-winning correspondent.

We are taking a break from the thought leadership series for the remainder of 2019 and will advise regular attendees when the programme re-starts.
