We are very pleased to have welcomed Andy Haldane, Chief Economist at the Bank of England, to deliver our Annual Lecture on 25th July 2017. Andy looked at global flows of goods and services, money and capital and people and ideas over the post war period and the evidence on how these had affected growth and the distribution of income and wealth between and within the developed and developing world.

Lord Turner's important new book Between Debt and the Devil: Money, Credit and Fixing Global Finance was the catalyst for the event, which also built on last year's Finance Foundation debate with the same two speakers, examining Martin Wolf's book The Shifts and the Shocks and bringing in his latest thinking on democracy and inequality.

Our event on Cyber risk on 14th April 2016 generated considerable debate on the role of Boards in addressing the risks and the perhaps unexpected truth from the experts that in the region of 80% of cyber events are due to routine internal failures not directed criminal activity - read more here
