Our next event on Tuesday 18th September 2018 looks at the outlook for world markets as uncertainty and looming disruption pose increasing challenges. Please see the invitation with details of how to apply below.
Stock market volatility, Trump, trade wars, and Brexit:
are we heading for a bumpy ride?

The Finance Foundation is delighted to host our next thought leadership event, supported by AIG Europe Ltd.

 Tuesday 18th September 2018

6pm – 8pm

Everywhere we look it seems there is high uncertainty and real or looming disruption via global trade spats, wrangling over Brexit, NATO, the future of the EU, Russian assertiveness, the list goes on. So far the world’s markets have been relatively sanguine. Could that change, and what stabilising factors could mitigate the effects of a potentially bumpy macro ride?

We are delighted to welcome Eric Lonergan, macro hedge fund manager at M&G investments, economist and author of Money (The Art of Living) to present his views on the outlook for both the UK and globally. Kevin Gardiner, economist and Global Investment Strategist for Rothschild and author of Making Sense of Markets will respond.

This will be followed by a moderated Q&A.

This event will be hosted in the Council Room at One Birdcage Walk, Westminster, London SW1H 9JJ.

Registration is from 6pm and the event will begin promptly at 6.30pm, with drinks served after the formal proceedings and the evening ending at approximately 8pm. Please click here for directions.
